My Favourite YouTubers

No Tech/Linux YouTubers?

Yup. Since I spend a lot of my free time on GNULectures, I'm not really interested in watching other Linux YouTubers. I do watch tech content, but I generally don't watch Linux content specifically.

That said, I will give a shoutout to some smaller channels: OgloTheNerd, EverythingeeB, tokisuno, hoff._world, NicoD's SBCs, MalwarePad, Mashed, BlendingSentinel, PizzaLovingNerd, DanGleeballsScambaiter, SkeletonSyskey.

The List

styropyro

Styropyro describes himself as a science maniac. While he's officially a chemist, he is arguably most well-known for his projects involving high voltage circuits (e.g., Tesla Coils) and incredibly powerful lasers.

NileRed

Much like styropyro, NileRed is a chemist, though his content is more explicitly related to chemistry. He is arguably most known for his food experiments, which often involve turning non-edible items into food with the magic of chemistry.

Examples include turning styrofoam into cinnamon candy and evaporating diamonds to carbonate water.

colinfurze

Some of you may know colinfurze as his channel is quite big (>13.2M subs). He builds a lot of crazy DIY projects, from a bunker underneath a house to a BMW Hot Tub to a giant upside down carden swing.

MasterMilo

Much like colinfurze, MasterMilo is a crazy engineer, though his content is more geared towards vehicles such as cars and tanks. One of my favourite projects is the RollGolf, simply because of how wacky it is.

Most of his videos are narrated in Dutch, but have English subtitles so other people can watch it.

ChrisFix

This is a pretty neat channel for learning how to fix/modify your vehicle. I'm not a full-blown petrolhead, but I like cars and channels like ChrisFix and Car Throttle have inspired me to build my own project car. Though sadly, I don't have the space, tools, or money to do it anytime soon.

Atomic Shrimp

A lot of channels focus on one thing, but Mike from Atomic Shrimp does the opposite. While he's largely known for scambaiting, his content is random and diverse - from cooking to wild foraging to ideas to random inventions. Despite his channel's diversity, he has built a unique identity.

GeoWizard

This guy is most known for playing geography-related games (mostly GeoGuessr) and going on real-life adventures (e.g., crossing Wales in a straight line).

FYI

It's worth noting that just because I like these YouTubers, that doesn't mean I don't watch anyone or anything else. For a lot of genres such as tech and exploring/travel, there isn't a particular creator that stands out to me.

It should also go without saying that I'm not recommending people just spend all their free time watching YouTube. I certainly have other hobbies, but in making this list, I want to point out some gems on a platform that is littered with slop.
