Types of Annoying YouTube Comments

This rant is mostly just for fun and isn't about any specific channels or comments. In the case of my own channel, most of the comments are positive, provide useful criticism or correct errors, others are just kinda weird tough.

Gen Z/Alpha Comments

I know it's somewhat ironic given that I'm Gen-Z myself.

• "only in ohio 💀"
• "bro graduated from mcdonalds university"
• "L"
• "ratio"
• "most normal blank in ohio"
• "the one rapper eminem was too afraid to diss"
• "shoutout to the cameraman for going to space for this video"

The last two were actually quite funny the first time, but they're very stale and overused now.

Unnecessarily Serious Comments

For example, somebody makes an April Fools video and some people genuinely try to prove that the video is wrong. I can understand if the video is about a serious topic, but when it's clearly not significant, it's just annoying.

"There is no Windows 69!", WOAH REALLY?! Do you want a Nobel Prize?!

Specific Examples

• "First!"

None of you are first because the creator watched the video before it was even uploaded to YouTube.

• "don't care" / "didn't ask"

You clearly care to some extent, otherwise you wouldn't be here lmao.

• "You wasted 2 minutes of my life!"

I'm sorry for wasting your time on a video YOU decided to watch ;)

• "like if you agree"

shut up.

• "Contact on WhatsApp 👉 +3393994802091"

These accounts are bots who will just redirect you to some foreign scammer.

• "Can we just appreciate how much effort they put into entertaining us?"

We know what you're doing. Also, these people put so much effort into the video because YouTube is their job.

• "Edit: OMG thank u for all the likes!"

You're welcome I guess? I mean...your comment wasn't that special, you just got lucky on this occasion.
