(In)frequently Asked Questions
Channel Stuff
- Have you done a collab? (if not, are you down for one?)
- How do you afford to make hardware videos? Are you rich?
- Can I use your content in my video?
- Will you do sponsorships?
Kind of, I made a video about Royal Mail SMS scams and gave permission for a fairly large scambaiting channel (Dan Gleeballs) to use the footage in a video he made with other scambaiters.
I've been asked to do collabs with other channels, but haven't been able to because of time restraints. However, I would totally be down for a collab, so if you're interested then hmu! :)
No, I'm just very frugal. Plus I primarily review old / budget tech (because I find it much more interesting). Every device you see on the channel is either sold or put to good use. Nothing goes to waste.
As long as you don't claim the work as your own, it's no problem and you don't have to ask me. However, I would appreciate it if you gave credit.
At the moment, I have no plans to do so. I will only do sponsorships if I genuinely like the sponsor and they're relevant to my content. Unfortunately, YouTube has a ton of bad sponsors who I would not want to do business with.
Website Stuff
- Why is this website so ugly?
- How can I best contact you?
- Have you considered setting up public Nextcloud/XMPP/Git instances?
- People could store illegal content and I would have no idea.
- I can't guarantee the integrity, security, and accessibility of other people's data (what if the VPS provider is hacked or goes out of business?)
- My goal is for people to become independent, not to become dependent on me.
It's because I designed it to be minimal rather than pretty. Web bloat is a big pet peeve of mine, and many websites are just unnecessarily slow because they're full of junk (ads, trackers, unnecessary JavaScript, large images).

Although that sounds great on the surface, there are some major problems with that:
